About Us

The Quiet Place: Centre for Christian Formation & Leadership is a Christian formation and development ministry committed to forming people who are spiritually grounded, biblically equipped, personally empowered, and prepared to lead and serve with purpose.

Established in January 2024 as a dedicated space for prayer, The Quiet Place began with a simple conviction: meaningful Christian life and leadership must first be formed in the presence of God. In a world characterised by noise, pressure, uncertainty, and constant change, we create spaces where people can encounter God, deepen their faith, discover purpose, develop their capabilities, and be equipped to make a meaningful difference in the world. Prayer remains at the heart of who we are, but our understanding of Christian formation extends beyond prayer alone. We believe that God forms the whole person, spiritually, intellectually, relationally, vocationally, and practically. Christian formation therefore involves becoming more deeply rooted in Christ while developing the character, knowledge, skills, confidence, and leadership capacity required to serve others effectively.

Our work is built around four interconnected movements: Encounter God. Grow in Truth. Be Empowered by the Spirit. Be Equipped to Lead.

Through prayer gatherings, biblical teaching, Christian meditation and reflection, leadership development, mentoring, skills development, workshops, masterclasses, community initiatives, and other formation experiences, we create pathways through which people can grow from encounter to formation, and from formation to impact. We believe leadership is not defined primarily by position or title. Christian leadership begins with character, calling, stewardship, service, and the capacity to positively influence the lives of others. For this reason, The Quiet Place seeks to develop people who can lead faithfully within their families, churches, workplaces, professions, businesses, communities, and wider society. The Quiet Place is therefore more than a prayer venue. It is a centre for Christian formation, leadership development, personal empowerment, and purposeful service,a community in which faith is deepened, people are developed, gifts are discovered, leaders are formed, and individuals are equipped to carry the presence and principles of Christ into everyday life.
